Hawes Building Solutions took on the complete construction and project management of the job from green field to final handover.
The house was over 400m2 in area with a combination of flat and mono pitched roofs. The flat roofs in particular took a significant amount of time to construct in order to create the correct falls to the numerous outlets required.
The claddings were also a combination of Eterside weather boards, Rockcoat plaster and a feature wall of river boulders.
The interior of the house included high stud sloping ceilings with full height aluminum joinery to maximise the amazing views from the elevated site.
The specification included a lot of high spec finishes and technology, including solid timber flooring, floor to ceiling tiling, under floor heating, computer controlled audio and entertainment systems and many other architectural and design features.
After a nine month programme to construct the house, Hawes Building Solutions were also employed to complete a substantial amount of the landscaping work including timber and concrete decks, paths, planters, driveways, mowing strips etc.
Due to the high level of finish required, quality control was paramount on this project. All stages of the project were closely monitored for quality ensuring that defects were kept to a minimum at the completion of the project.
The house was completed to the required timeframe with all contractual issues settled quickly.
An excellent relationship was maintained throughout the project with many positive comments being received from the client & management team.
