This project required the construction of an engineered designed industrial mezzanine floor for a lawn mower manufacturing company.

The design involved structural steel beams and columns with Hi-Span laminated floor joists and plywood flooring.

The floor joists were connected to a bolted timber stringer using nail on brackets with over 20 000 nails required!

Above the floor new walls were erected and lined with particle board in order to resist impact damage.

Large steel framed gates were erected to allow access for an overhead gantry crane. New timber stairs and landings were supplied and installed to meet emergency egress requirements. All work was undertaken while the factory continued to operate.

A specific safety plan was required in order to identify hazards unique to the working environment, in particular minimising risk from noise and debris created by grinding and welding operations.

This project was completed on a cost plus basis with the final account being within the budget estimate originally provided by Hawes Building Solutions.

Why Choose Us?

Certainly, from my point of view the project was handled very well from start to finish.

It was great to see the job come in bang on budget.

So it is a testament to your professionalism, communication and safety practices that kept everything on track, uninterrupted and safe.

We would definitely use your services again if a similar project arose and would have no hesitation in recommending you to others.
